			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>that&#8217;s my weight in pounds as of today. as i have mentioned in my Twitter, the total loss of 3.5 in two weeks may not be noticeable yet but i&#8217;ve already felt that my clothes are starting to get a bit loose. and although the loss is not much, it&#8217;s encouraging. it gives me hope that i can really do it and i will reach my target weight. </p>
<p>today, the trainer let me do a 5K walk on the treadmill. i wanted to give up halfway but i persisted and it felt good i did. i&#8217;m hoping i won&#8217;t give up in this journey i have started.</p>

<p>for the million nth nth time, i want to have a fresh start. i will weigh and measure again today for my base figures. and i will schedule my exercise days for at least three times a week so i won&#8217;t have to be out of the house everyday. annnnd, i will watch what i eat again. seriously.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>week 1 has ended and although it&#8217;s not much, i am happy that my effort paid off. i weighed myself today and i found that i lost 2 pounds. they say that&#8217;s a healthy weight loss in a week and for someone like me who has been sedentary, it&#8217;s SOMETHING. </p>
<p>i am now going to start on week 2 with a base weight of 186.5 pounds. i am hoping i will persevere and not get too impatient. slowly but surely, self! <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>went out with some of the supergirls. had dinner at mooon cafe and tea latte at coffee bean and tea leaf. i should exercise tomorrow, dinner was quite heavy.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>i woke up today with a really bad headache. i was really planning to go to the gym again but as they say, we should also listen to what our body is saying so i didn&#8217;t push the issue =D i was thinking i also needed to rest because i have been exercising daily for 3 straight days.</p>
<p>i had late lunch (as in 3 PM) because we were stuck in very heavy traffic downtown. i fetched Pat at 4 for our food trip at 10 Dove Street with <a href="http://maibitofearth.com">Malou</a> and <a href="http://iamkaith.wordpress.com">Kaith</a>. as always, i enjoyed their company. our topics ranged from fitness and health to politics to people (libak, haha) giving birth and the next food trip. i also enjoyed the food. i &#8216;heart&#8217; Dove&#8217;s sandwiches and salads! i will definitely bring my mom there.</p>
<p>i feel quite sad that i ate quite a lot today. there was pizza when i got home and the kids &#8220;forced&#8221; me to have a slice. =) i don&#8217;t want to be too hard on myself. <em>bawi lang ko ugma. </em></p>

<p>i&#8217;m glad i finally, finally went back to the gym today. since it&#8217;s been 3 million years since i last moved my body, the trainer only let me do cardio exercises &#8212; 15 minutes on the stationary bike and 30 minutes treadmill. good enough for someone who has been on sedentary mode for the longest time. </p>
<p>now the challenge lies in sustaining what i have just started. but i told myself i should now exercise regularly. there&#8217;s a lot of benefits to be excited about. summer is almost here. <em>unsaon na lang ang sexy swimsuits! </em> there&#8217;s the high school homecoming in April. <em>dapat ma shock na sad akong townmates nga ni lose weight ko! kay pag uli nako the last time, puro gyud katambokan ang comments even if i was grieving. </em> yes, i&#8217;m more excited about the &#8220;aesthetic&#8221; benefits than the &#8220;for health reasons&#8221; stuff. hehe.</p>
<p>i am still working on cutting down my food intake. i will give the SBD a try. T says phase 1 will already make me lose inches off my waist. so why not? <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  i&#8217;m praying for discipline and perseverance to achieve my goal. i have already made my own &#8216;rewards system&#8217;. i&#8217;ll buy a new set of gym outfit when i lose at least 10 lbs., etc etc. =)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>my brother and younger sister have been constantly reminding me to eat healthy and do regular exercise even if it only means a 20-minute walk. i have actually been wanting to lose weight but unlike before, i&#8217;m having a hard time getting started or sustaining it. i always read or hear from others that consistency is the key. and that&#8217;s where i am most challenged.</p>
<p>i would like to believe i have a stronger resolve this year to succeed in my weight loss project. this, after i have seen some friends who are so fit and fab and some ex-&#8221;karibals&#8221; who, after 3 or 4 kids, are still so slim and are looking really great! i tell you, i so envy them as in envy to the highest level! but i do not wish to take drastic moves. i don&#8217;t want to get overwhelmed and eventually quit. for the nth, nth time, i want to take it one step at a time. </p>
<p>this is no big deal but today (01.10.10), i&#8217;m glad i&#8217;m finally back (after more than 5 years) to having whole-wheat cereals and fruits with low-fat milk for breakfast. i would have wanted to eat less carbs for lunch and dinner but i failed =). </p>
<p>the south beach diet cardio book Therese gave me is another challenge i have yet to take. i read through some chapters and i&#8217;m excited about really seeing the result of said diet. but i have to &#8220;prepare&#8221; for each phase so i won&#8217;t start it yet. not just yet.</p>
<p>i have decided to do my detailed food and exercise journal in a notebook. i realized it&#8217;s too time-consuming for me to write every little thing here.</p>

<p>i wish to do more of this simple exercise in the coming days. who knows? it will also help me cope with this excruciating pain and grief in my heart.</p>
